CyberInstaller Studio - 4. Main Menu


The main menu of CyberInstaller Studio is to present just below the title bar, just above the toolbar.

 

The entries are: File, View, Package, Dependencies, Tools, Help. These menus provide access to all features provided by CyberInstaller Studio. Vodi Sometimes some menu can be reached more easily through a simple combination of keys (shown right next to another item of same)

Note: If a menu item contains an arrow (black triangle pointing right) means that the mouse pointer linger for a moment on this item opens a sub-menu. If a menu item ends with three dots means that ("...") not take effect immediately, but will open a window through which to choose certain options. In addition, next to the menu items is almost always a keyboard shortcut ie a combination of keys that, when pressed simultaneously will activate the menu item without having to go through the same menu and without using the mouse.

 

 

File

 

Allows you to act on files managed by CyberInstaller Studio (projects, namely the installation packages saved). Consequently become available actions such as creating a new budget, his rescue, his openness. It also contains the voice that will turn CyberInstaller Studio.


New: the mouse pointer linger for a moment on this item opens a sub-menu:

New Project ...: opens the "New Project" which lets you create a new project from a preset template. [Shortcut: CTRL + N]

New Project Wizard: Opens the "Membership Wizard" which allows, through a simple wizard to set up as quickly as possible a package. [Shortcut: CTRL + W]

Project Update Wizard: Opens the window "Project Update Wizard" which allows, through a simple wizard to create the quickest possible upgrade package. [Shortcut: CTRL + U]

New empty project: create a new project with the default values. If the current plan has not been saved will ask for confirmation before closing the current project. [Shortcut: CTRL + E]

 

Open ...: Allows you to load a previously saved project. The selection of the project is via the File Open dialog box.

 

Reopen: the mouse pointer linger for a moment on this item opens a sub-menu that shows the 10 projects opened/saved most recently. In this way, simply click on one of them to open it immediately, without going through the Open dialog box.

 

Import: Allows you to create (and open) a project from a script installation CyberInstaller. This can be useful if you have an installation package (each package has a script) but not the project CyberInstaller Studio. Of course, the creation of a project from simple script has some limitations, since not all information of a project are stored in the script. [Shortcut: CTRL + I]

 

Save: Saves the current project. If the project has never been saved before acting as a "Save As", otherwise it will overwrite the project file currently open with the contents of the current project. [Shortcut: CTRL + S]

 

Save As ...: saves the current project by choosing a name for the file that will contain the project. The first time you save a project is required to name the file and choose the location of the latter (the folder where you save it). [Shortcut: SHIFT + CTRL + S]

 

Exit: closes CyberInstaller Studio. If you open a project not saved asks for confirmation.

 

 

View

 

This menu allows you to activate the options that have a visual effect on the interface of CyberInstaller Studio, in particular the display panels.

 

Quick Help: show if hidden, or Hide if already selected, a panel at the bottom of the main window of CyberInstaller Studio containing a brief help on the currently selected step. [Shortcut: CTRL + H]

 


Analysis package shows whether secretly or hide if displayed, the panel with real-time analysis of the current packet and any records found. [Shortcut: CTRL + J]

 


Activities current step: show if hidden, or Hide if displayed, the panel with the activities related to the current step and the overall project. [Shortcut: CTRL + K]

 

 

Package

 

This menu allows you to operate on the current package.


Analyze...: Analyze the current packet for potential problems due to an incorrect composition of the package. These problems could result in errors during installation, so this tool should be given serious consideration, and also why is performed automatically before the package is created [Shortcut: F2].

 

Information: displays detailed information about all the different elements included at each step [Shortcut: F3].

 

Make: starts the process of creating the package, using the information compiled to date [Shortcut: F4].

 

 

Dependencies

 

This menu allows you to add notes to certain employees of tencologie installation package.


 

Find Addiction: launch the tool for automatic detection of dependencies, ie the files necessary for the proper functioning of your application, after reviewing the project source: Microsoft Visual Basic, Borland Delphi. NET (any language) and any executable. It also allows you to automatically package any files found. [Shortcut: F5].

 

ActiveX Data Objects (ADO): Adds the package (if found) the installer of Microsoft ADO, mdac_typ.exe.

 

Data Access Objects (DAO): Add files to the package dependencies DAO 3.51 or 3.60 version.

 

Crystal Reports: Add package dependencies files of Crystal Reports version 4.6, 7.0, 8.5 or 9.0.

 

Active Reports: Add files to the package dependencies Active Reports Standard or Pro fessional.

 

Framework.Net: Adds the package (if found) the Microsoft. NET Framework version 1.x, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5.

 

Microsoft Data Engine: Adds the package (if found) the installer of MSDE (the free version of SQLServer 2000).

 

 

Tools

 

This menu provides analysis tools, support and automation, which you can use when creating a package. It also allows you to open the Options window where you can customize the behavior and default settings CyberInstaller Studio.


Options: Open the "Options" window, from which you can customize the behavior of CyberInstaller Studio, the default settings, default paths and CyberInstaller CyberExtractor and numerous other details [Shortcut: CTRL + O].

 

Wizard again Applicazone: Opens the wizard (wizard) to add to the package an external application [Shortcut: CTRL + P].

 

New Connection Wizard: Opens the wizard (wizard) to add to the package a link to a file [Shortcut: CTRL + L].

 

Import from Microsoft Visual Studio: Allows you to convert a project created in Microsoft Visual Studio (from his script. Lst) in a project CyberInstaller Study [Shortcut: F6].

Credits: lists the names of people who have worked significantly in the development of CyberInstaller Suite.

 

Support ...: Displays a window with information to reach the customer service of CyberInstaller Suite, allowing inviarei immediately through an email-click the e-mail, or up to the official website SilverCyberTech, or to update the license current (in case you were in possession of a non-registered - free).

 

Reporting bugs: Opens the "Bug Reporting" and allows you to send a mail pre-compiled to support informing them of the bugs that were found.
