CyberInstaller - 1. Overview

CyberInstaller is the heart of CyberInstaller Suite. It is indeed 's installer, the installation engine. This is understood to indicate all those programs whose purpose is to ensure that other software can be run properly on any computer. This is necessary because often requires a program of special files that are present on the machine development, but not necessarily on the end user. These then would be in the unfortunate situation of not being able to run it properly.

CyberInstaller - which can be run from any PC with any operating system Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Server 2008) - allows you to install the first program file, then All other boundary needed for its proper functioning (possibly making the appropriate records). Besides this CyberInstaller allows you to remove the package automatically or manually directly from the Windows Control Panel (via the Add/Remove Programs applet), or through a link included in the Start Menu upon installation. Removing an application using CyberInstaller differs markedly from many other installers since it allows (a request) to bring the system in exactly the same condition it was in before installing it (the system roll-back).

The peculiarities of CyberInstaller are:

- Proprietary engine, streamlined and predictable
- Roll-Back: opportunity to restore the system in the exact conditions prior to installation in a completely automatic and transparent permitting, in case of problems, to proceed with restoring the system to its previous conditions (known good).
- Real-time display of any changes to the system, with creation of logs for later analysis.Log that you can save and view later.
- Intuitive interface for end users

This last feature makes it almost unique in CyberInstallerinstallers, giving the user complete control on the installation/removal and leaving a complete documentation of every transaction executed.

 

Note: CyberInstaller is not bootable like any other program and also does not make sense to start it if it is first created an installation package. Its main file (Setup.exe) for, although it can be launched like any other executable will not work correctly if the installation script (install.dat) is not properly completed following the proper syntax, or if the folder structure does not reflect certain rules. To avoid having to manually perform these tedious, it is highly recommended (though not essential) to use CyberInstaller Studio, which through an easy interface to walk, will create the installation package and all the technical details in our place, in completely automated, transparent, and above all without possibility of error. The use of CyberInstaller Studio is also essential for the creation of the self-extracting executable package.
